Sarah took a vision to heal others using food and made it a reality. Healing Meals was created from the philosophy that “Food is Medicine.” This non-profit serves and delivers organic meals to families going through a health crisis – mental or physical – as well as empowers youth and adults to provide services throughout the community. In the past five years, Healing Meals has delivered over 67,000 meals in the greater Hartford area to those suffering from cancer, chronic illnesses, major surgeries or to those struggling to get food on the table due to mental chronic illnesses.
This episode fueled me and will likely warm your heart, as well. Sarah’s ability to not only service those in need, but to also build a connected community amongst the teen and senior volunteers is truly remarkable. The episode will surely make you smile.
