As you know, Pretty Wellness is all about making small changes for a healthier life including reducing your toxins to live better, prevent further disease, while also feeling (and looking) better. Many store-bought scrubs have chemicals including hormone disrupters that wreak havoc on our bodies. What you put on your body matters and creating your own products with natural, non-toxic and fewer ingredients is an effort to help take smalls steps toward better health. Using less chemical products or substituting them for all-natural, homemade ones can help reduce toxins in your body.

Sugar vs. Salt Scrub

Salt and sugar scrubs are easy to make and store. The benefits are dependent on the condition of your skin. Sugar scrubs are best for those with sensitive/delicate skin since the particles are smaller and dissolves quicker and good for face exfoliation. Sugar scrubs are less drying than many products that have chemicals in them. Salt scrubs are best for rough, dry area on elbows, knees, heels or callouses. They are great to help kill bacteria and reduce inflammation.
