Scanxiety – have you felt it? This week on “Happiness through Hardship” – The Podcast I’m dropping a mini-episode about scans and how to minimize the stress and fear around them aka “scanxiety.”

I never wanted to be known as “Caryn with Cancer” but the reality is that’s who I am. My cancer has made me a better version of myself and for that I’m grateful and want to share what I’ve learned in order to help others going through any hard time. Whether you have cancer or not, odds are you may have to get a scan at some point, so on this episode I share my thoughts on how to make it a little easier.

She’s an author, philanthropist, retired business manager and mother of two amazing daughters. She had worked side by side with her late husband, Don, for 25 years to help grow the family business and retired 18 years ago to pursue her own passions. On today’s episode Anne shares her love story. She talks about how through sickness and health, thoughtful and supportive caregiving for a spouse is essential. We cover life experiences including menopause and cancer as well as dive into our healthy habits and so much more.

Today’s episode of “Happiness through Hardship”- The Podcast is with Melissa Berry from Cancer Fashionista who shares how she did just that. Melissa’s a fashion and beauty publicist and a triple negative breast cancer survivor. After her diagnosis she was looking for the “vogue of cancer.” She couldn’t find one place that housed tips, tools and brands that helped cancer patients look and feel beautiful. So, she created it herself and started – Cancer Fashionista and on this episode she shares with us how tapping into beauty helped her through hardship.

I’m excited to introduce on this week’s episode of “Happiness through Hardship” – The Podcast, Kimberly Sparks, a health coach and functional nutrition wiz who received a text in 2016 that led to a series of events that changed her life. She tells her story about being a caregiver to her mom with ALS while also grappling with her sister’s cancer diagnosis. These awful few years led to many dark moments…but also a few bright lights. Her story is intense…though fitness, work family as well as her furry friends and professional care – helped get her through.

Lauren Chiarello Mika, founder of ChiChiLife and true positivity champion shares her story of cancer then high-risk pregnancy on this episode of “Happiness through Hardship” – The Podcast. As a two-time Hodgkin’s Lymphoma survivor who knew she would likely have challenges getting pregnant, today she is blessed with identical twins. Although, her road wasn’t easy.
